Loaded Deviled Eggs

  1. Hard-boil the eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10-12 minutes. Then, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool completely.
  2. Prepare the filling: Once the eggs are cooled, peel them and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until they are finely crumbled.
  3. Mix the filling: To the mashed egg yolks, add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  4. Assemble the loaded deviled eggs: Spoon or pipe the egg yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. Sprinkle each deviled egg with crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions (if using).
  5. Garnish and serve: Lightly sprinkle paprika over the loaded deviled eggs for color and flavor. Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
